How it works
Set up rosters and negotiate duties directly with your support worker.
We pay your support worker and sort out the NDIS claim.
We will claim from the NDIS or invoice you, your Plan Management provider or funding body.
Why it works
My Choice My Support is for people with disability to take control of their own support.
We look after the complex administration so you can focus on your relationship with your support worker.
There are no intermediaries making decisions for you about who will be your support worker or when they will work with you. You control what you need and when you need it – directly with your support worker. This saves time and money so your support worker gets above-award wages and you get high quality support.
You control who becomes your support worker. You can choose someone with the skills and personality that suits your lifestyle and culture.
Then you manage:
- their duties
- the times and days you want them to work
- the work environment so it is safe and healthy.
Your support worker is legally employed by My Choice My Support, so they can access an attractive package including superannuation, long service leave and salary sacrificing.
Evaluations have shown that high levels of service satisfaction arose where people were able to define their relationship with their support staff.
Our coordinator will:
- help you recruit the right person with the right skills and clearances
- set up a secure online rostering system for you and teach you how to use it
- support you to create an induction package for your staff
- pay your support worker for their rostered shifts.
My Choice My Support is a fantastic framework that gives the control back to the client. They choose who they would like on what shift and for how long, and they can speak directly to their support worker and put all shifts in place themselves – giving them empowerment.Jamie
